This blog thing is getting to be too clunky. I need something better.
Anyway, while I ponder what to do with that, and with my inability to keep this thing updated, let me point you at a little app I've been spending some time with: a note-taking application that talks to desktop couch.
Whoops, the bread is ready, give me a minute.
Where was I? Ah yes! I've been fooling around with a note-taking application that talks directly to desktopcouch.
Well, not directly, because I hadn't realized, until today, that that was possible. I'll be turning it into a CouchApp tomorrow!
Anyway, a screenshot:
you can, obviously, grab the source.
Things to note (heh, heh):
the code is EXPERIMENTAL. What does that mean? It means I am experimenting. This is not quality code. This has no tests.
right now, it can and will mangle your tomboy notes formatting. I have some XSLTs in the tree that seem to work, but even they aren't integrated.
did I mention it has no tests? and is in flux?
The name will change. I've been calling it "unote", to call it something, but the name is wrong.
It is not python code. There is python code, but this app is mostly javascript and html5 and stuff.
I have no graphical design skills. If it looks ok, it's by accident.
Have I scared you enough? Ok, I'll stop. It's cool, you might want to try it.
Also, we went for a drive in the hills with the boys today. Up over the old Pan de Azúcar road and into Cosquín. Obligatory pic.
